I'm Thijs Tijsma, an engineering leader based in the Netherlands. I have 18 years in software engineering, including 7 years leading engineering teams and 3 years in senior engineering leadership.
I help organizations grow by turning business ambitions into technical strategy, team alignment, and delivery momentum. I've developed and executed technical strategy in organizations ranging from 25 to 400 people, leading engineering groups of up to 35 people across multiple teams and managers.
How I work
I move comfortably between big-picture direction and practical details. The work I enjoy most sits between people, product, and technology: bridging communication styles and organizational layers, connecting people and teams, and making complex things simple enough to act on.

My background runs deep in C#, F#, and the .NET ecosystem, with experience across architecture, infrastructure, cloud platforms, data systems, quality, observability, developer experience, and incident management.
I am vendor and cloud agnostic. I adapt to different stacks and environments by focusing on principles, not tools.
