I'm Thijs Tijsma — an engineering leader based in the Netherlands with 17+ years in software engineering, including 7+ years leading teams and 3+ years in senior leadership.

I've shaped technical strategy alongside senior leadership, led platform engineering tribes of up to 35 people, and built teams from the ground up — in organizations ranging from 25 to 400 FTE. I'm drawn to the space between people and tech: bridging organizational layers, connecting teams, and driving strategy to realize business ambitions. Currently I lead agentic engineering at Nedap. On the side, I run TechSynergy, helping organizations navigate growth, technical debt, and modernization.

My background runs deep in C#, F#, and the .NET ecosystem, but I'm experienced across diverse architectures, infrastructure, and data systems. Vendor and cloud agnostic, I focus on principles, not tools.
